What has Ireland done to reclaim its right to some self-respect since the shame of the X Case?

For those who aren't familiar, this was a notorious instance of a 14 year old victim, pregnant by her uncle, whom the State, acting like an East European dictatorship, attempted to deny the right to leave Ireland for a termination.
