Alternative to limewire for mac?

i have downloaded frostwire and it will not open. it says that the file in a folder is not valid? something like that. then i tried bearshare but that will not work on mac. then i tried vuze and that is not what i was looking for. then i tried ares and that will not work either. can some one please help me?
