About to purchase my first snowboard set, just wondering about sizes (in womens)?
Anyone suggesting boards for you is doing so missing a lot of information. Have you been riding before? Where do you like to ride, park, all mountain? Are you athletic, meaning is it something you think you'll pick up relatively fast? These are all things you need to consider when buying a board. Sizing for instance is mostly based on weight, so while I'm guessing you're somewhere in the 145-149 range for board size, I couldn't be sure unless I knew your weight. Also, I would no suggest going with a Sierra branded set up as the first answer suggests. They are currently filing for banktruptcy, and that is not the type of company you want to deal with if you have warranty issues! Take a look at this buying guide and start from there. There's one for boards, boots and bindings, and it explains everything from different types of boards to what to expect at certain price points. a href="http://www.snowboards.net/docs/buying-guide-snowboards-2/." rel="nofollow"http://www.snowboards.net/docs/buying-gu…/a There are also sizing guides.
